Satish Chandra Memorial School is an Inclusive School having differently-abled children in different classes.
Children with Cerebral Palsy (CP), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), and Learning Difficulties (LD) of different categories come to the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Department for remedial classes. The School has well-trained qualified Special Educators who will make a need-based curriculum for the children with special needs. Children with the potential to cope with regular CBSE syllabus and those who cannot – will be helped to get mainstreamed as much as possible. Modifications of syllabus or question papers will be made according to the need of the child. The SEN department will emphasize early intervention. The school has extended itself to develop and cultivate an awakened atmosphere that adapts with agility to cater to children with special needs without tagging them with “labels”. Everything with a straight appearance has inherent curves, which we have camouflaged to make it easier for the child to race with the mainstream. The child with special needs in our School is no more they, he/she is We. Almost every class will have one or more students with such requirements. The act of involving them in a very normal way with the extra effort subtly put in by well-trained faculty is what creates the difference.
